its founding in 1946, Merillat Industries (now MASCO Corporation)
has grown to become one of the nation's leading manufacturers
of cabinets for the home. Based on brand studies by major industry
publications, Merillat brand cabinets from Merillat Industries
continue to be one of the cabinets most used by builders.
Orville
and Ruth Merillat founded their business on the principles of
providing the best possible product at the best possible price,
combined with the fair and equitable treatment of employees,
customers and suppliers.
In 1985,
the Merillats merged their business with Masco Corporation,
a world leader in the manufacturing of home improvement and
building products.
Just
as Orville never stopped improving his products and dreaming
of new ways to accomplish a task, at Merillat Industries, our
job doesn't end at the end of the day.
The
Jackson, Ohio Frame Plant has been an integral part of the Merillat
Industries family for the past twenty eight years. We have been
striving to achieve the standards originally set by Orville
by using tools that help us to accomplish lean manufacturing
as well as improve the quality of life for both our customers
and our associates.
Merillat
became the MASCO Corporation in 2008 and continues to thrive
in Jackson County.
